FastFound vs Ahrefs
What they are genuinely good at, where we differ, and who should pick which. We have tried not to write the version where we win every row.
A mature SEO suite with AI visibility added as a feature on top of it.
- A mature SEO suite; AI visibility is a bolt-on feature rather than the product.

What Ahrefs is genuinely good at
The backlink index and the crawler, and it is not close. If those are what you need, Ahrefs is simply the better product — that is a decade of infrastructure we have no intention of rebuilding and no ability to match.
Stability and data quality. It is a serious, long-running tool in a category where most of the AI-visibility entrants are two years old and still changing what their numbers mean between releases.
Site Audit and the technical layer. If your real problem is technical SEO, the answer is a crawler, and theirs is excellent.
It does not oversell the AI feature. It is presented as part of a suite rather than as a new science, which is more restraint than most of this market shows.
Where we differ
We publish our answers to all 31 methodology questions, including the limits of our own score. As far as we can establish, no other platform in this comparison has published theirs.
AI visibility here is a feature inside a large suite, and we have not found published answers to the 31 methodology questions for the score it produces. Ours are public, including the parts where the honest answer is that we do not yet know — most usefully, how far a score drifts between two runs on the same day, which is the number that tells you whether a movement means anything.
23 languages, 35 markets, local currency and local tax wording — and the work is done in your language, not translated into it afterwards.
English-first. We sell and work in 23 languages across 35 markets, with local currency, local tax wording and local regulator names.
AI probes run on Google Vertex AI in Frankfurt (europe-west3); search data is processed in Germany by an Estonian company. Every sub-processor is documented.
We have not audited where they process data and we make no claim about it. What we will state about ourselves: AI probes run on Google Vertex AI in europe-west3 (Frankfurt), search data is processed in Germany by an Estonian company, and every sub-processor is written down with its transfer instrument.
A tool hands you a dashboard and a list of tasks. We run the tasks. That is the difference between a subscription and a growth department.
A suite is a set of instruments. Somebody still has to run the weekly and monthly work, and in most businesses that person does not exist or already has a full week. We are that person.
Who should pick which
If your bottleneck is classical SEO — backlinks, crawl errors, keyword research — buy Ahrefs. A great many businesses worrying about AI visibility have an ordinary technical SEO problem underneath, and Ahrefs will find it faster and cheaper than we will.
AI visibility is a practice rather than a tab. We are the better fit when you want the practice run for you, in your own language, by someone who has published how the measurement works.
There is no performance figure anywhere on this page. We do not publish one — ours or anybody else's — until it is our own measured result, and we do not have one yet. Anyone showing you a number should be able to tell you whose data it is.
