FastFound vs Gravitee
What they are genuinely good at, where we differ, and who should pick which. We have tried not to write the version where we win every row.
An enterprise platform for governing APIs, event streams and AI agents. It is on this page because the name comes up, not because it competes with us.
- An API, event and AI-agent management platform: AI Gateway, AI Catalog, AI Security, AI Studio, plus API and event gateways, observability and governance.
- Governs LLM, MCP and agent-to-agent traffic — agent identity, access control, cost controls, PII filtering, behaviour observability.
- Enterprise. Named customers include RATP, Walmart, Michelin, Roche, BMW and EY. No public pricing.
- It does not measure AI search visibility, and does not claim to.

What Gravitee is genuinely good at
It solves a genuinely hard problem that almost nobody else is solving properly yet: what happens when an organisation has hundreds of AI agents calling tools and each other, and nobody can say which agent did what, with whose credentials, at what cost. Their own framing — that most organisations are shipping AI agents unsecured — is a fair description of where the market is.
Serious API management underneath it. Gateways, observability, governance, a developer portal, event and Kafka protocol mediation, identity and authorisation. This is infrastructure with real engineering behind it, not a dashboard.
They moved early on the Model Context Protocol and on agent-to-agent traffic, and they publish their thinking on it rather than keeping it behind a sales call.
The customer list is the kind that does not sign quickly — RATP, Walmart, Michelin, Roche, BMW, EY. That is not a marketing signal; it means the security and governance claims have survived procurement at organisations that check.
Where we differ
We publish our answers to all 31 methodology questions, including the limits of our own score. As far as we can establish, no other platform in this comparison has published theirs.
Gravitee does not measure AI visibility and makes no claim that it does, so the 31 methodology questions simply do not apply to it. We are not going to invent an overlap to make a comparison table look fuller — that would be the exact failure this site exists to object to.
23 languages, 35 markets, local currency and local tax wording — and the work is done in your language, not translated into it afterwards.
Not a meaningful axis of comparison here. Infrastructure is bought by engineers who work in English by default; the businesses we sell to are bought from by customers who do not.
AI probes run on Google Vertex AI in Frankfurt (europe-west3); search data is processed in Germany by an Estonian company. Every sub-processor is documented.
We have not audited where Gravitee processes data and make no claim about it — and for a self-hostable gateway the answer would in any case be mostly determined by the customer. What we will state about ourselves: AI probes run on Google Vertex AI in europe-west3 (Frankfurt), search data is processed in Germany by an Estonian company, and every sub-processor is written down with its transfer instrument.
A tool hands you a dashboard and a list of tasks. We run the tasks. That is the difference between a subscription and a growth department.
Gravitee governs the AI traffic your own organisation generates: which agent called which tool, under whose identity, at what cost, with what data in the payload. We work on the other side of the glass entirely — what the public AI systems say about your business when somebody else asks them a question. Different problem, different buyer, different budget.
Who should pick which
If your problem is that your engineering organisation is deploying AI agents faster than anyone can govern them — unclear agent identity, no cost ceiling on LLM calls, no audit trail, PII moving through prompts nobody is inspecting — then you want an AI gateway, and Gravitee is a credible one. Nothing we sell addresses that, and no amount of AI search visibility will help you.
If you arrived here because you searched for an AI tool and these two ended up on the same list, the question that separates them is simple: are you trying to control the AI inside your own business, or change what the AI outside it says about you? Gravitee is the first. We are the second. A large organisation could quite reasonably need both, and they would not be competing for the same budget.
There is no performance figure anywhere on this page. We do not publish one — ours or anybody else's — until it is our own measured result, and we do not have one yet. Anyone showing you a number should be able to tell you whose data it is.
